South Carolina State Credit Union

Eligibility:

Membership in the SC State Credit Union and payroll deductions for savings accounts are available to all employees of Clemson University. Detailed information relating to Credit Union membership and application forms may be acquired by visiting one of the SC State Credit Union offices.

Process
:
Clemson University Requirements and Procedures for Credit Union Payroll Deductions:

  1. Credit Union deductions will be sent to the SC State Credit Union only.
  2. Deductions are made only on the first and second pay days of the month.
  3. Authorization forms must be received in the Payroll Department by the Wednesday following a payday to be entered for the next payday.
  4. Deductions are sent to the SC State Credit Union by SSN (via a secure connection) not by account number, and are deposited to the first savings account under your SSN. Therefore if deductions are to be split up between different accounts, a form must be completed at the SC State Credit Union to specify the distribution.
  5. Your net pay may be direct deposited to your SC State Credit Union or any other financial institution account with a signed Direct Deposit authorization.  

Note: Your net pay can only be deposited to one financial institution. Ability to deposit into a SC State Credit Union checking account is not in addition to another elected checking account.
